We are Suyin and Cleave, a newly married couple from Sydney who wanted to travel long-term. We debated back and forth over how much it was realistically going to cost and if we could actually afford it.

Do you yearn to travel? Are you one that wants to see the world but never has the cash? I understand. I used to be one of you. But I decided to change all that. I found a way to get my travel fix on mini-trips.

We are two Deaf backpackers, hoping to inspire both Deaf and Hearing communities. We want to prove that being Deaf shouldnt stop us from exploring the world. We ventured off the world because we want to challenge ourselves that we could overcome any obstacles that come our way and learn from our experiences as we explore the world.

It’s about me. No, it really is. It’s about my desire to create stories with my friends even though I will be miles away. And while I want to say this blog is about something deep, that no one has ever thought about before, that would be a bit of an exaggeration. It’s just about the situations that I get myself into and how I somehow get myself out of them. Oh, and it’s about travel.

Living abroad is what fueled my passion and became my inspiration for travelling the world. I work as a Brand Representative for various companies at events around the US. In between my events I try to travel to as many countries as I can while also doing it on a budget!

Thank you for visiting my blog. I'm a travel junkie, food addict and shutterbug. I may not be a great writer but I do hope that my photographs has the ability to convey stories to those that view them. Travelbug came from my parents who always take me for traveling abroad since I was 1 year old. So far I've traveled to more than 35 countries in 5 continents (Asia, Oceania, Africa, Europe and North America). I hope you enjoy your time here.
