How to Grow Your Instagram Followers For a Travel Account

December 26, 2018 by Mary FLeave a Comment

Growing your Instagram profile, just like any other venture in life, requires both energy and determination. You don’t become famous in one day. The good side is, with a successful Instagram account you stand to benefit more as a travel blogger. The benefits include expanding your business, building up your brand and more hits on your blog. Below are some strategies that will help you get more followers on your travel account.

Do Your Research
Like any other new venture, it is good to know what people love most and what you can do better to outdo the existing. Go through different accounts and find out what interests you about their feed. Mark what they use as hashtags, their frequency of posting, their interaction with their followers and the impact of all those factors. You can also go to your feeds and find out which photos attracted more followers and views.

Create a theme
First impressions matter. A good theme on your account will make people get interested in what you are doing thus, gets you more followers. A page that is unique and attractive will make your account memorable to many. A theme that suits your content brings out some level of professionalism and shows that you know what you are doing.

This attracts more readers to your blog too. When picking a theme, you should use words that would capture the readers’ feelings and also use colors that match the content of your brand. Once you have a theme, ensure that all your posts are relevant to the theme.

Go For Quality
Post images that people want to see. Consistent viewers might turn into a follower. Use photo editing apps. Remember to straighten your image, work on the contrast and add some structure to make it attractive. Note that light is the key to a great photograph as it grabs people’s attention. Ensure to maximize your screen by posting vertical images.

Create your hashtags
The common hashtags do work, but some of them are vague like “hiking” while almost all of them are saturated. It is good to use more specific hashtags to grow your travel blog. For instance, to build on local awareness, you may use multiple location hashtags like ilovenewyork.

You should use and encourage your followers to post photos under the same hashtag, which you re-post on your blog account with a shout-out. This enables you to create a community on Instagram and a reliable source of content.

Interact with your followers
You should create enough time for your followers. Respond to their comments and put conversations in motion. You can Visit their profiles regularly and make some genuine comments or at least a like in their photos.

The key to success in Instagram is through integrating yourself with the community, and no one understands this better than the social buddy. The social buddy facilitates engagements between you and other Instagram users by managing your social activities. They will like the content, follow other people and make comments on your behalf. This makes the marketing of your account more effectively.

Tell your followers on other social platforms
Advertise your Instagram account on other platforms like Facebook or Twitter. Remember not all your followers in those platforms are following you on Instagram. This can be achieved better by linking your Instagram account to your other social media accounts so that your followers would discover your Instagram account easily.

There are several ways to become an Instagram master. But the number one step is to understand the Instagram guidelines and how this popular application works. Once you master the pros and cons, you are good to go. However, you should avoid acts like buying followers, avoid programming other people’s post and most of all do not behave like a spammer.
