Top five destinations for gamers

Seattle, home to some of the largest gaming communities in the U.S.

Gamers have the world at their fingertips, they’re able to go anywhere or at any point in time via numerous different games, and even different planets if they fancy it. With the quality of games improving so much in recent years, the gap between real life and gaming has become smaller and smaller. One thing is for sure though, nothing beats real life.

Despite all the possibilities of online gaming and bingo, there’s nothing better than stepping outside into the real world and visiting some of your favourite places.

But what if you could mix the both? What if gamers could visit places that were either themed on games or had similarities? Well in this article we’ll be taking a look into the top five destinations for gamers and where they can visit.

Las Vegas
This one’s for the casino and bingo fans. If you like casino games, then Las Vegas is the place for you. Well known as the place to go for casinos, with virtually unlimited places to go and try your hand at various games such as poker, blackjack and roulette, it’s truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to go.

Everyone knows if you enjoy casino games then you have to go to Las Vegas at least once, and whilst you’re there, you’ll be sure to have a blast trying out all the slot machines and poker tables. Just be sure to take a break and have something to eat! And with the vast amount of food options and restaurants, you’ll definitely not be stuck for choice.

LA
Los Angeles, one of the most well known spots for Esports, and hosts some of the biggest Esports tournaments in the world. If Esports is your thing and regularly watch online, why not visit in person, seeing it up close in person and see how the pros do it. Whilst you’re there, they regularly have fan zones where people can meet their favourite Esports competitor and sign shirts for fans.

It’s a great way to both experience the world of Esports and see some of your favourite gamers in person, which definitely makes a difference from seeing them from behind a screen.

Seattle
A well known gaming location, Seattle is a hotspot for gamers, with numerous conferences, meetups and events, it’s constantly thriving with other gaming fans and a huge community all with the same interests.

If you’re wanting to find other people who enjoy gaming just as much as you do, then Seattle may be the place to visit, with different themed conferences every year, from Pokemon to Halo, the list is virtually endless and has any genre of games on show for likewise fans to come and enjoy.

Reading
If you like more darker themed games, then heading over to Reading in the UK could be one for you. Reading is host to the viral zombie themed experience, where you’re placed in a room with other players, given VR headsets and are tasked with surviving a zombie outbreak.

This one truly isn’t for the faint hearted and needs a tough stomach to handle, as you’ll really feel like you’re in the game. You’re placed on a running pad and given a prop gun, meaning with the headset on, it feels like you’re there running for your life.

Hollywood
Hollywood, one of the main inspirations for the hit game Grand Theft Auto five. The massive worldwide game is based in a city pretty much identical to Hollywood and takes inspiration around every corner, from Beverly hills, to small corner shops and businesses dotted around, there are numerous easter eggs hidden around the game.

There are gamers all over the world, however in some places people from all over come together for events and conferences. For newer gamers, it can be tough choosing where to go and where will have that gaming fix. However, by sticking to our tips and the above suggestions, you’ll be fine!
