The only indication you've left one country and entered another one these days in the European Union is when the carrier on your mobile phone changes! The public transportation system works extremely well - you never have to wait very long for either buses or trains. Today's highlight was a visit to the picturesque town of Vianden. Cobblestone streets wind their … [Read more...]

A Journey In The Gold Coast:In Ghana
It was breezy late afternoon as I descended boarding EK 781 in the fertile soil of Ghana, a country in Western Africa. Indeed, it was my first visit to an entirely Black African nation with hospitable people. The uniqueness of humidity caught my attention next as we steered through traffic. Accompanied by my Ghanaian lawyer from the airport going to the place I was to stay. Ghana has a typical tropical climate: two rainy seasons in the … [Read more...]
Los Angeles, CA
Los Angeles anchors the heart of Southern California and LA is the 'King' here in the south land. International tourists who visit California often say to me, I visited Los Angeles and San Francisco, and I really didn't like Los Angeles, but San Francisco was so awesome; it is such a small city - easy to get around, manageable, picturesque etc. Well that is not what LA is about. Where is the Ho Chi Minh Trail?

Nepal – The Flight
We flew from Los Angeles in the early morning. The total flying time is about 19 hours from LA to Katmandu. We flew Thai Airways. As far as I am aware there are still no nonstop flights between those two cities. We made stops in Seoul, South Korea, and a 12 hour layover in Bangkok, Thailand. On the connection flight to Katmandu make sure you request tickets for the right side of the plane because then you will be able to see the Himalayas. There … [Read more...]
