Lisa Niver: RTW Traveler

April 16, 2013 by Dave3 Comments

I first met Lisa a number of years ago at an event in Los Angeles. Her unbridled enthusiasm for International travel is truly contagious. Few people are lucky to go on one Round the World Trip (RTW) in a lifetime; Lisa has been privileged to experience two RTW trips and in fact at the time of this original interview, was currently in the midst of her 2nd RTW trip. The circumstances around receiving this interview were somewhat convoluted (as … [Read more...]

Onward And Upward To Machu Pichu – Part 1

April 14, 2013 by Al Seymour Sights1 Comment

My heart kept beating like a tom-tom drum feverishly signaling an imminent enemy attack.  It kept racing, and thudding, and pounding – not allowing me to get a wink of sleep. I recognized the symptoms.  I knew what was happening.  I had tried to prepare myself for it. It was oxygen deprivation, and it could lead to altitude sickness. Although I wasn’t in any immediate danger of becoming stricken with the illness, I knew that I was … [Read more...]

CALIFORNIA, America's leading state on Green Destinations California possesses some of the most innovative green destinations and eco-conservation programs in the United States, as well as the chance to be an eco-friendly visitor. A Night At Angelus….

February 21, 2013 by Carolan Nathan1 Comment

London has become a mecca for great restaurants...contrary to the myth that has grown up probably due to ignorance and jealousy especially by the French and also by many Americans unfortunately. A few years ago I was invited to lunch with a group of writers in Los Angeles. It was given to honour the Minister of Culture from the UK. After the luncheon he asked each of us to speak a few words and when it came to my turn I told him that my mission … [Read more...]

Dalian China Greetings

December 13, 2012 by DaveLeave a Comment

Greetings from Dalian China. This and the last city we visited of Shenyang would EACH be the second largest city in all of the USA! Here is a stat to chew on that I read in the latest issue of Conde Naste Traveler, not sure if its true or not, but it read something like this, "China has 370 cities with populations of between 1 and 5 million, the United States has eight - nineteen China cities have populations of more than 10 million - more than … [Read more...]

She was there to receive the "Who-Manitarian of the Year" award - a play on words tied into the holiday season and the Christmas Grinch. Besides being an accomplished actress, Ms. White has also dedicated her life to the welfare of animals. Her lifelong dedication to animal welfare has earned her … [Read more...]
