March 21, 2022 by Dave6 Comments

The Site In December 1996 I began a very rudimentary travel site called Dave's Travel Corner in anticipation of what would be a life changing college sponsored trip to Nepal. It was my first major international trip and was the direct inspiration for building a travel centered lifestyle focused around creating content for this travel site. I experienced cultural and religious activities completely foreign to me including bodies being … [Read more...]

Guarida Paladar Restaurant, Havana – Cuba, March 2022

March 1, 2022 by DaveLeave a Comment

This popular restaurant is located 5 blocks in from the Bahia de la Habana (harbor) on Concordia Street. Like other restaurants in Havana, a small sign is the only notice of its existence. Or maybe you will spot someone waiting on the first floor and upon inquiry, you will be directed up stairs. There are no signs for the restaurant once you enter this ancient looking building dating from the early 1900s - like other parts of Havana entering the … [Read more...]

Isn’t it Time you Treated Yourself to one of These? A Caribbean Cruise with Celebrity Cruises

February 1, 2022 by Dave2 Comments

A gentle breeze blows, not even strong enough to knock over a nearby empty can of ginger beer. I lie alone floating face up in a hot tub on the upper deck in the middle of the Caribbean ocean cruising on a 10-night tour of the Eastern Caribbean on Celebrity Cruises Millennium watching wispy clouds float by; I realize that I have not reached a blissful state of relaxation like this in nearly the past two years. Being back on the water, feels very … [Read more...]
