Another fantastic trip to LA and the OC!

October 6, 2010 by Dave10 Comments

One of the highlights of this latest trip was re-visiting Universal Studios (and experiencing lighter than normal traffic on the infamous freeways). One new attraction to me was the Ifly experience located in the “citywalk” which leads to the main entrance. This is a “vertical wind tunnel” which for $40 and 2 mins of your time (after waiting in line and undergoing a short instruction session) you can “fly”! Put on a flight suit, goggles and helmet and your ready to go. With a flight instructor at your side you will literally be “floating” based on the power of the wind tunnel. Neat stuff.

The highlight of this latest trip to Universal Studios was the new King Kong 3D attraction. For about a minute you will experience a complete visual assault within the world’s largest 3d studio. TRex comes lunging at you from all directions – and for those who sit in the last cars of the tram, be aware – you might just be at risk to those huge jaws!

One of the not to miss shows is “Waterworld”. This is a show that involves the entire crowd and when the actors are energized their energy transfers directly to the crowd. If you want to get wet, you wish is easily made possible by where you sit. Green seats indicate seats that will get wet before and during the show. The actual show is nonstop action. After it is over you can take pictures with the actors, many of whom have made appearances on big name TV shows.

Loved Water World when I was there! I was holding my breath for most of it…(guess I don’t get much excitement in my everyday life!
Wish I would have seen the Flying stunt…would have loved to try that one. Maybe next round:)

Dawn – I had seen Water World before but it was just as good to see it the 2nd time. The actors really get the crowd roaring, not to mention wet from all those buckets of water they throw on people!
