Fruit Yard Restaurant, Modesto CA – April 2002

Fruit Yard Restaurant Modesto – When driving between Waterford and Modesto in California be sure to stop in and grab a bite to eat at The Fruit Yard Restaurant located at: 7948 Yosemite Blvd. Phone Number (209) 577-3093. Our favorite meals are their Sunday brunches which is an all you can eat fare. Dave recommends their late Spring & Summer Sunday brunches because much of the fruit & vegetables is locally grown and freshly picked.

They open early for breakfast (6am) and in this early hour often you see trucks lined up in the parking lot (the most common type of vehicle here) with patrons inside. We’ve been here for breakfast and chickens are running around both the restaurant and their next door fruit stand!

In addition to the fruit stand and the restaurant, a BBQ, Bakery and a gas station are located on the property. Be sure to try the Italian BBQ sausage sandwich…mmm! Because Modesto is in the heart of fruit orchards summer is the best time to visit this fruit stand. For more info visit: www.thefruityard.com

its fantastic Sunday brunches, local produce, and vibrant atmosphere. It’s clear that the spot is beloved by locals, and the description of breakfast with chickens roaming around adds a quirky touch. The mention of other attractions on the property, like the BBQ and bakery, makes it sound like a must-visit for anyone in the area.
