Tapas in Seville

September 20, 2011 by Miss MociLeave a Comment

A very known trait of the people of Andalusia is that they are very open and social. There is nothing more social than sitting in a bar with an ice-cold beer and some tapas. And there is no better place to do get to know this laid-back way of life than this region’s capital. So why not rent Seville apartments to get to know this culture. Here are some budget-friendly tips on where to go for a beer and some tapas:

Las Coloniales/Taberna Coloniales
Definitely one of Seville’s darlings when it comes to tapas, on one hand for the quality and quantity of the food that you get at an incredible price. There are two locations of this place, but I recommend the one at Plaza Cristo de Burgos. You have to expect a little bit of waiting at this place and at the plaza you have a place in the shade to wait for your table. For dessert after check out the ice cream parlor across the road. It is a bit pricy, but the ice-cream is the best you can get in the city.

El Patio
At El Patio you can not only enjoy a traditional Flamenco show, but also get excellent food at a great price. It is not a place for a big elaborate meal as they serve great mondaditos and cold tapas. It is a very authentic place which makes it equally interesting for tourists and locals. It is a great place to get to know the culture of Sevilla with all its facettes.

Bar Eslava
This is one of the cheapest and best places to eat tapas. Many say that if you go there once you will come back at least once in your life. It hasn’t raised it’s prices in a long time and they managed to maintain the quality of the food ever since. No wonder this place is always packed! And although the service always has plenty to do they remain as friendly as can be. Directly connected to the bar is a restaurant where the food is the same but the portions are bigger.

So there you have it. When you rent apartments in Seville you will get good beer, excellent food and meet a ton of great people.
