Fish & Feathers was launched by journalist Hilde Veeren (Feathers) and photographer Maarten Vis (Fish) in 2009. We have both been working in the (travel) magazine business for over ten years, and decided that publishing our stories in travel magazines alone wasn’t enough. We started our blog during a three-month sabbatical in Asia in 2009. At first just for our friends and family, but as soon as we realised our audience grew each day, we professionalised our blog.

I am extremely passionate about traveling, food and fitness. I love almost everything involving the beach, water, or the outdoors.
