From Way Up High is a collection of photos from the window seat and stories about what you find when you land. I started this site in 2010 with a sneaking suspicion I wasn’t the only one whose books went unread during flights because I was so enamored with the view.

I'm Meg Frost. I'm a city girl with a serious case of wanderlust. I have an ever-growing list of places I want to see, food I want to eat, things I want to experience + drinks I want to, well, drink!

The plan: Retire, book passage to China via container ship. Train to Vietnam, then fly to Vladivostok, Russia. Take pictures of old buildings, read books Ive put off, write. Exercise. Avoid cable news shows and airports. Take Trans Siberian from Vladivostok to Moscow, stopping at Baikal Lake for breather.

There are times in life when everything you have been working for seems to fall apart. This year, that happened to me. Don’t get me wrong. I have an incredible life, but everything I thought my future would hold just hasn’t panned out.

My name is Amanda. In March 2009 I quit my job in Sydney, Australia to travel the world. I returned home after almost two years on the other side of the planet.

I’m Caitlin! I am a writer, map-maker, budget traveler, musician, idealist, and vegetable enthusiast currently based in Punta Gorda, Belize.

I’m Gabby, I am a travel blogger. I grew up in southern New Jersey in a small town called Smithville outside Atlantic City. When I was growing up I was fortunate enough to travel often. Before the age of 20 I had visited all U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Canada, and every state on the eastern sea board. Looking back, it makes complete sense to me why I love to travel so much and why I started a travel blog.

In 2016 I quit my job and sold everything I owned, packed my backpack and bought a one-way flight ticket. Right now I’m traveling around the world by myself and my ultimate goal is to visit every country in the world. In this blog, I’m sharing my adventures and travel tips with you.
