Hello! I'm Rachael, a So Cal chick from sunny Orange County, California, with a serious travel obsession. In 2008, I packed my bags and moved to Amsterdam, Holland, and I'm loving every minute of it. I've done a few out-of-this-world-amazing trips around Europe, was an exchange student in Finland and decided to take the plunge and move to my favorite city (Amsterdam!)

LET’S GET LOST is a visually driven travel blog of recommendations, video, photographs, music & art to inspire and accompany my wanderings (and hopefully yours), whether they are digital or physical. One part travel journal, one part collection of musings and curiosities.

Our hope is to give readers an informative overview of their next destination, to ease the stress of researching the nitty gritty of travel to find that happy balance of getting the shot and immersing in new culture. These travel guides include suggested accommodation, transportation, food & drink, things to do & see, and most importantly, the best photography spots in the area.

I’ve been a traveler for as long as I can remember myself. I was five years old when I first started staring at a globe. It was an illuminated sphere, all countries and places shining at night. For several years I would plan distant journeys, daydreaming that I was some variation of Jules Verne. I started traveling solo when I was 18, and I ‘m used to traveling alone. I'm a Korean American adoptee who returned "home" to discover who I am, foster the relationship with my birth family, travel, and teach. An adventurer at heart, I will budget travel and volunteer around Asia and Australia, sharing stories, lessons, and travel advice along the way.

I am a teacher and traveler. I take what I hameve learned from my experiences, and share them with all of you to educate on liberated and safe travel. My goal is to empower anyone wishing to explore, and spark an interest in those that have not thought seriously about travel.
