Hi, Im Rachael! California girl at heart, currently living in the Land of the Rising Sun. I have a serious travel addiction and Im not looking for the cure.

We, Simon & Sara, have taken a huge step of faith in starting the next chapter in our lives – we have packed up all that we own, all that we know, said goodbye to dear friends/family and moved to the other side of the world. That’s right, not just across the ditch like most from New Zealand might do, but to the United Kingdom. A complete opposite to where we come from. And this website is the story of our journey, to share with you – the friends we’ve left behind, those who are looking to travel (or move), but also a digital & visual diary for us to share with our children in the future.

I’ve been around the travel industry for more than 20 years, after starting my career as a journalist and marketer. Throw in a third career in higher education, a few years as a high school teacher, and a blog concept is born.

Self-discovery is difficult. Travel makes it easier.

It wasn't destiny that landed me here. It wasn't my first choice either. My life up to that point was a series of one way tickets. NY to Montreal to pursue an education, Montreal to LA to write my tell all (more on that later), LA to Tucson to escape the city and regain consciousness, and Tucson to Bend...to settle down.

The Traveling Ballerina was born with ballet shoes on her feet and suitcase in hand. She has no idea what life would be like if she weren’t dancing (whether on-stage or around her apartment) or dreaming and planning her next travel adventure.

If you havent already figured out, my name is Dan, and I LOVE to travel. My wife Stephanie and I enjoy traveling whenever we get the chance.

I'm Nikki, a born and raised South African, with English roots, living in the United States of America! I travel the world while running a full-time business, and love pushing myself to new adventures and challenges! I've traveled to 6 continents and can't wait to see more of the world!

I’m Laura, a Canadian who is addicted to traveling. I believe that travel, particularly solo travel, leaving your comfort zone, meeting new people and experiencing different cultures are the best ways to learn. And I believe that there are many other ways to measure success, aside from how much money you make.
