I’m Cristina, a 20-something writer, traveler, journalist, a minimalist in progress, fitness enthusiast, runner, and wherever there is food that’s where you will likely find me! Besides eating my way around the world, my ultimate travel passion is all things Europe and hyperlocal – travel is best experienced in the hidden corners that teach us about locals and their way of life. I love culture, food, festivals, and the little untravelled neighbourhoods.

In 2010, I made my first travel-dream come true by going to the USA on my own. During 5 months, I visited NYC, Washington DC, Philadephia, San Diego, Los Angeles, Hawaii and I studied English in San Francisco (I fell in love with this city). Finally, I came back to Bordeaux where I worked for a year and a half before the wanderlust got me again.

I’m Raj. I decided to start The Two Roads website to share my passion and experiences of travelling, food and photography.

I created The Two Week Traveler to show you that you can have meaningful, wonderful experiences around the world even if you only have a few weeks of time off a year. You may not be able to see all of Southeast Asia on one vacation, but you can do a lot more than youd think.

I married my long-time love last year and followed him to his station in Hawaii five days later. We spent way too much time apart over the last few years while he was on a submarine, but we are making up for lost time here in Hawaii on our “two-year honeymoon.”
