I am working as a journalist and photographer. Travelling, writing and photography are my passions. I love good talks with interesting people from all over the world, cooking and authentic really asian spicy food.

You know all those wonderful women travel bloggers out there? The beautiful, fresh, young and vivacious young women? The ones that you just know can walk into a room anywhere in the world and instantly make BFF’s? Yeah well that’s not me. I’m in my late 50s, single, slightly overweight, neurotic, suffering through bouts of shyness balanced with occasional attacks of fearlessness. As I was trolling through travel blogs for the past few months looking to see if there was a place for me in this blogsphere, I realized I never saw “me” in any of them. So I figured I’d share my kind of travelling, including the inner journey that I go through to travel.

I have lived in Italy since when I was a little girl however I have always felt like a citizen of the world. My parents have always loved travelling and thus they brought me, my little sister and our adventurous cat, off to beautiful destinations. I was taught that engaging the world and connecting with new people is the best way to learn new things.

I have ducked, dived, bungeed, burned, skydived, surfed, volunteered, volcanoed, crossed continents, conquered mountains, got robbed, got sick and got drunk and I hope this website will inspire you to do the same.
