Today I toured the mountainous countryside about 2-3 hours outside of Bucharest. Two highlights of the day: Pele's castle is one of the most amazing castles in the country. It is the former home of the Romanian Royal Family (all originally from Germany). Children at the Community School for Creative Education in Oakland saw their ideal play space designs become reality on Saturday, August 18. In just six hours, the “my dream playground” posters the kids had drawn were transformed into a creative, colorful play environment.
