Fisher Fruit Farm, Ripon CA – September 2002

September 1, 2002 by Dave2 Comments

Fisher Fruit Farm Ripon - There seems to be very very few fruit farms in California's great Central Valley that pick their fruit ripe. The C&R Fisher Fruit Farm located in Ripon, CA - (outside of Modesto) is one of the few farms that sells right from their own orchards. This small permanent fruit stand is located on the north side of the often super busy Highway 120 (the road that leads up to Yosemite Park). } Parking is on the dirt - either … [Read more...]

Bangkok, Thailand – Museums

by Dave · 8 Comments

Bangkok is many things to many people, but it is not necessarily a museum town. A number of the museums are fairly dated and fail to provide a fun, educational, modern and engaging atmosphere. However with that said, there are still plenty of good museums to keep one occupied for at least a week if not longer including some rather intriguing, esoteric and hidden away ones. We have visited and reviewed the following 50+ museums in Bangkok. And … [Read more...]

Bangkok, Thailand – Shopping

by Dave · 3 Comments

Major shopping districts in Bangkok include parts of the Suhumvit and Silom areas of Bangkok. Shopping here can be a serious affair for some people - with a number of patrons getting decked out in their finest. And of course there are always a number of dressed down phone toting tourists (looking for the ideal selfie spot), expats and those people watching. It is not hard to shop till you drop in this town - although you won't be dropping from … [Read more...]

Bangkok, Thailand – Bars & Nightlife

Bangkok is a great place to party - with its mix of bars, night clubs and both locals and expats staying up until the wee hours. by Dave · Leave a Comment

The following destinations range from half day to very long day trips from Bangkok. AYUTTHAYA used to be the largest and main city in Thailand before Bangkok. Its located about 90 minutes north of Bangkok by bus (via the Mo Chit bus station) or about 2 hours by train from the Hua Lampong train station in Bangkok. It is well worth seeing if you have a day. It takes most of the day to see this city when you count your travel and visiting … [Read more...]
