Touring Brunei

January 16, 2011 by Dave1 Comment

Travel Hub offers a variety of day and multi day sightseeing tours within Brunei. This particular tour may not appeal to a lot of people but oil and gas are what drive Brunei's … [Read more...]

Tony Wheeler: Founder of Lonely Planet

December 2, 2010 by DaveLeave a Comment

Recently we had the opportunity to sit down with Tony Wheeler, the founder of Lonely Planet, in San Francisco. He was on a whirlwind tour in the United States promoting his new book, Bad Lands: A Tourist on the Axis of Evil. We spent about an hour in the interview. Immediately following his book promotion tour he was off to attempt a climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa 5,895 meters (19,340 feet). We asked him a series of questions - this is … [Read more...]

Blown Away by Bruges

I was originally planning to be in S. Korea this trip but when a friend canceled due to a family emergency I flew over here instead to explore my family's roots in Luxembourg and the countryside. This has been an inspirational trip so far, from the people I've met to the amazing towns and countryside. Usually when I think of travel I want to visit Asia but now I'm craving more of Western Europe! I came to Bruges, Belgium for one reason and one … [Read more...]

More Benelux Travels

August 30, 2010 by Dave8 Comments

It is so awesome to be able to travel between countries with no stops at borders. The public transportation system works extremely well - you never have to wait very long for either buses or trains. Today's highlight was a visit to the picturesque town of Vianden. Cobblestone streets wind their … [Read more...]
