It seems like U.S. tourists discovered Portugal in the last year. No matter what social media platform you use, you probably saw an explosion of coverage for this majestic land. The capital city of Lisbon provides a great introduction to the country, with a manageable population of 600,000 people in the city proper. Beautifully tiled buildings, rolling hills, and delicious custard tarts are on every corner. The people are warm and friendly, and … [Read more...]
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines – Experience the Pop Up!
I'm your typical eggs and bacon breakfast gal, maybe even a slice of toast and butter if I'm feeling adventurous! Recently I had a fantastic opportunity to visit the KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Pop Up in Union Square, San Francisco at 9:00am in the morning and got to partake in the traditional Dutch Stroopwafels for breakfast! These are lovely chewy caramel cookies and are delicious with a morning coffee or heck just as a tasty snack anytime! A … [Read more...]
And the Winner is… New Orleans!
Thank you Capital One for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own and were not directed by Capital One. To learn more about the Capital One Venture Card, visit: https://www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/venture I was standing in front of camera in HotelTonight's headquarters in San Francisco as part of some work I was doing to help promote a partnership recently announced between Capital One and HotelTonight. Sam Shank, CEO HotelTonight
I recently met Sam as part of a partnership I was helping to promote. I used HotelTonight for booking a last minute trip to New Orleans using it to find a centrally located hotel within a short walk of the famous French Quarter. Malibu Rocky Oaks Estate Vineyards
High on a hillside, a modern Tuscan-style villa claims expansive views all the way to the Pacific Ocean. Following the steep drive up from Kanan Rd. you see some small vineyards on either side. You can also arrive at the villa by air as it has its own heliport. What I saw of the inside of the villa was sparsely furnished, with spacious rooms. Most rooms were closed off due to the event underway when I was there. It was a gorgeous late winter … [Read more...]

I have attended select Travel Massive events in Los Angeles for several years now (Los Angeles has a healthy community of such startups) and was pleasantly surprised to meet the founder, Ian Cumming in Bangkok earlier this year. Their events are excellent opportunities for … [Read more...]
Origami Unicorn, Travel Undergarment Organizer
I have been packed for years, at times for an almost perpetual state of motion. This has been especially true in the last 6 months with trips stacked up one after each other. Both my suitcase and backpack remain ready to 'rock and roll' - each one is always in some state of being packed and I can quickly grab either one depending on the type and length of trip. This travel state of limbo has worked well to date, granted nothing is very well … [Read more...]
