Travel Massive October, Los Angeles

October 21, 2014 by Dave1 Comment

The latest Los Angeles Travel Massive was held poolside at the Sofitel in Beverly Hills. I’ve been to the mega shopping complex, the Beverly Center across the street a number of times (one of Los Angeles’s premium and very profitable shopping centers) but never actually visited Sofitel.

Travel Massive Los Angeles is co-chaired by MaryAnn of and Arnette of Round the World Girl. I’ve attended these meetups several times in town – they are always well organized featuring some of LA’s most posh venues as well as a company in the tourism industry. This evening it was Singapore Airlines who graciously donated two round trip tickets from LAX to NRT to a random winner.

Those who attend the Travel Massive events are connected by their love of travel – and attendees range from serious travel writers, to those working in the travel industry to those wanting to get into the travel industry as well as a number of people interested in meeting like minded travelers.

It is always nice to meet travelers – this time including @KieraReilly @WorldWideNate @SofitelLA @GlobalSouls @jboydNYC @SpencerSpellman @joshywashington

And see again, @PeteHalvorsen @marybeen21 @RTWgirl_ and @travelingGreek

To attend future Travel Massive events in Los Angeles keep an eye on their Facebook events page here: www.facebook.com/TravelMassiveLA

I was just at the Beverly Center the other day. Yes, it is definitely one of the places travelers and locals visit to shop, hangout, dine, etc. I met a few tourists from France. They were speaking French. What a beautiful language!
