After you arrive at the airport and pick up your obligatory samples of free rum near the baggage claim jump into a waiting car (provided by the resort) or pickup your pre arranged rental car. The Ritz Carlton is located about as far from the airport as one can drive on the island which refreshingly is only about 25 minutes away.

Once here, settle into your luxurious room and enjoy a bottle of wine or hors d’oeuvres provided by their culinary team. Then head down to the Sail’s Restaurant for a Rum based drink and or some light snacks and enjoy the waning hours of the evening poolside. The pool delivers memorable views with its overlook of the pretty waters in the surrounding bay and the island of St. John in the distance.

The Lady Lynsey, the resort’s own 53-foot long catamaran offers a number of memorable excursions including to the British Virgin Island of Jost Van Dyke, a Sunset Sail and an guided snorkel with provided picnic. In addition, once a week it offers a sail to St. John with plenty of hors d’oeuvres and drinks on the way, then waits for you while you dine at one of the restaurants on the island and finally returns to the resort. Check their website for daily departure details.
