Grand Beach Hotel: Family Friendly Luxury on South Beach

July 20, 2017 by Tomeka AllgoodLeave a Comment

Built in 2009, the Grand Beach Hotel Miami Beach, is located on the beach overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.  A few feet away from the renowned Millionaires row, it is the ideal place to enjoy luxury and comfort whether traveling alone, with friends or family.

This South Beach vacation spot has renovated a majority of its guest rooms, which are all suites, with new bedding, carpeting and modern design. The lobby is sleek and welcoming with the smell of freshness with a hint of expresso. Immediately to the left as you walk into the hotel you will see the lobby’s lounge area complete with comfortable seating and cocktail bar.

The Grand Beach Hotel has direct beach access, which makes it convenient for guest to go from room to beach within minutes. The hotel provides two beach chairs, umbrella rental and free towels as part of services included with resort fees. This is good so guests are not surprised by additional fees when they get to the beach. In addition to the beach access, guests of the hotel also have the option of hanging out at the pool. The hotel has two beach front pools with hot tubs as well as an adult’s only pool area located on the 7th floor with great views. Both pool areas have access to well-stocked bars so guests do not have to go far to get drinks. The beachside pool bar serves cocktails and food prepared by the onsite restaurant Chez Gaston.

There is only one full service restaurant on property that serves the hotel in addition to its 24 hour room service menu. Chez Gaston is located on the first floor and has indoor/outdoor seating near the pool. The casual dining atmosphere and various assortment of menu options makes it nearly impossible not to find an item to enjoy for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The only other food options outside of Chez Gaston is at the expresso bar located in lobby. The expresso bar has more on the go type of options like breakfast muffins, gelato and sandwiches.

Rooms at Grand Beach Hotel Miami Beach

Without a doubt, the 430 spacious guest suites are the number one reason to stay at this hotel, with most offering views of the beach like this:

The majority of suites include two marble bathrooms, furnished private balconies with floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors.  All suites come with a living area with large flat screen televisions with free movie channels and Wi-Fi, included with resort fees. The hotel offers premium suites that have an upscale entertainment system allowing guests the option to stream movies from personal devices to the Smart televisions in their suite. The two bedroom suites are ideal for families because it offers one large bedroom with a king size bed and a second bedroom with two queen size beds so a family of 6 could easily stay in the same suite. The hotel also offers a second family option to have two adjoining suites together so they can double the space for larger families or groups. The suites are furnished with light colors and modern décor. All rooms have at least one full size bathroom complete with combo bathtubs with others having two full bathrooms or a full bathroom and one half bathroom with a stand up shower.

The suites come with a fully stocked mini bar/fridge with price list, safe, iron, coffee maker and two televisions. The rooms come with plenty of charging outlets. I was in a room with 3 other adults and we all had plenty of space to each charge our devices without any issues.

Other amenities available at this hotel include a 24-hour fitness center that is larger than you will find at most hotels. It is complete with both cardio and weight training equipment plus televisions, a water station and free towels. The hotel also offers massage and spa services that are provided in your suite, poolside or on the beach upon request.
