I was born in Bulgaria and I have spent about two thirds of my life there. For the past decade however I have been living in Germany. I’ll admit this makes for a strange combination – from the chaotic and hot Eastern Europe into the calm and orderly Western part of the continent.

We ended our 9 to 5 lifestyle in June 2014, packed up our house, loaded up the car, and started traveling! We have been on our journey for ten months now and are currently in South East Asia. Our adventure has no definitive end and we will continue as long as we have the funds to carry us.

This is a travel blog. You will find here the records of my recent travels and sketches of my dream travel around the world. In order to prepare this exceptional journey I decided to consider my completed trips in respect of the knowledge and skills gained and share it with you.

My name is Taís, I’m twenty five years old. I was born in the big city of São Paulo, Brazil, but consider myself a worldly person. I’d like to think I’ve left a piece of me in every single place I’ve visited. I live in Dublin, Ireland, a place I happily call home right now.

I am Sarah Hawkins Miduski, aka, Obligatory Traveler. I enjoy going off the beaten path, but I’m not too cool to do, well, the obligatory, touristy, travel things too.

If money wasn’t an issue, I would travel the world every second I could. I currently work full time at a creative services agency (think Mad Men but a little less booze and everything is digital). My husband also works full time and we live in Sacramento, California. We are fortunate to have taken several trips as a married couple but these have only been possible due to some creative planning.
