How to get yourself ready for a trip to Las Vegas

July 27, 2016 by Boris DLeave a Comment

vegasWell you’re finally taking the big leap. You’ve been dreaming of it for a long time, you’ve booked your tickets and now you’re about to go on the holiday you’ve been dreaming of for a long time. But now what? The haze has ascended and you’re none the wiser of what to pack. Well fear not, help is at hand with this useful guide.

To-do list
Perhaps the first thing to bear in mind about Las Vegas is that there is practically too much to do. Naturally there’s the casino’s, the nightclubs, the restaurants, you can hang by the pool or you can even go for a hike. It is worth making a list of how you actually plan to spend your time in Vegas, as that will dictate what you pack.

Plan your dream trip to Vegas now.

Footwear
Your choice of footwear is the first of many key decisions you need to make and not one to be taken lightly. For the nightclubs or the fancy hotels you’re going to want a pair of fancy dress shoes, but this isn’t the only footwear you’re going to want to take. We can guarantee that you will do more walking than you expect to do. Even the closest hotels on the Vegas strip are not as close as they look. Therefore you will want some comfy trainers or the equivalent that you’re comfortable walking in. Finally, for the time you spend by the pool, you’ll naturally want a pair of sandals.

Evening wear
It is no secret that the Vegas nightclubs enforce a very strict dress code. Although, when you think about it, you’re going to want to look the part, strolling in dressed to the nines and feeling like you’re Bond as you approach the blackjack table. For the ladies, well you finally get that opportunity to show off your little black dress and new heels.

Now it’s worth noting that Las Vegas is within the heart of the Nevada desert and it can get really hot, and we mean HOT. Therefore you’re going to want some lightweight leisure wear for when you’re just strolling around during the daytime.

On the flipside, Vegas is in the desert, so the evenings can be particularly chilly, even in the hottest summer. You’d be making a wise decision to pack some layers, something to wrap around you of an evening time. After all, it’s better to need it and not have it then to need it and not have it.

Poolside
Did we mention that Las Vegas is situated within the desert? So the number one thing you need when the sun is blazing is sunscreen. Make sure you take some and make double sure you apply regularly. You’ll appreciate it when you’re not burnt to a crisp on day one. Finally remember to pack some sunglasses, particularly if your eyes are sensitive to bright light. You don’t want to spend your entire time squinting.

Now you’re ready to pack your suitcase and set off on the adventure of a lifetime. Remember: what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

Get in the mood for the Vegas mood early.
