May 20, 2017 by Dave2 Comments

St. Moritz – With its array of sporting challenges, stellar events, five anniversaries, and an inspiring natural setting the Engadin mountain summer promises to be uniquely diverse in its contrasts. Engadin St. Moritz is now also providing an interactive, photo-realistic 3D map on its website for its summer season, too. As part of the Allegra Heimvorteil campaign, 125 hosts and personalities from the Engadin will be revealing their top tips in … [Read more...]

Penang – An Embodiment of Creative Disruption

May 19, 2017 by Jarard Paige1 Comment

George Town, Penang Much like the street art and street (“hawker”) food that seem to serve as the first definition of modern day Penang, the city is one that is best experienced through the senses. Though the city is still trying to create an identity for itself after it was stripped of such comfort during WWII, it is using vibrant, creative solutions to tell its history, share its beauty and humor, and redevelop itself as Malaysia’s thriving … [Read more...]

May 17, 2017 by DaveLeave a Comment

I was recently contacted by The TUNG Brush™ to test out their innovative and very useful product. This special brush is meant to be used in conjunction with every time you brush your teeth - to neutralize bad breath. Four Seasons in Two Days at Yosemite

May 15, 2017 by Fern Lee3 Comments

This was our first time in Yosemite. And we were told that Spring is an ideal time to visit - with the mighty waterfalls filled to the brim by the melting snow and the abundance of wildlife this time of year. We assumed the days would be filled with sunshine (warm at lower elevations) but cooler at higher elevations with the the tops of the mountains still covered with snow. However we soon discovered that the weather this time of year in … [Read more...]

Istanbul Travel Tips even for the Experienced Traveler

May 11, 2017 by Mary Lyons2 Comments

, I sometimes go there just to roam the streets, take pictures, eat the traditional food and talk to the locals. It is possibly my favorite city of all that I have visited. I really could have benefitted from some Istanbul travel tips before I went the first time. I learned to do my research. The first time I went to Istanbul I felt an energy as soon as I left the airport. I believe a city is a living, breathing, ever changing organism. … [Read more...]

Undiscovered Dominica, Too Short of a Stay on the Nature Island

May 10, 2017 by Dave9 Comments

After spending four relaxed yet still activity packed days on Dominica I find myself staying in the midst of sprawling apartment complexes on neighboring Guadeloupe in the city of Pointe-à-Pitre. Mere 25 minutes away by small jet, Guadeloupe feels worlds apart. World's away from the unspoiled natural setting and the the pleasant feel of space when you have a low population density (only 72,000 people live on the entire island). Now I am … [Read more...]

SFO to Manchester Flight Launch!

May 3, 2017 by Preethi Chandrasekhar1 Comment

I recently had the pleasure of attending a reception to celebrate Virgin Atlantic's new direct route from San Francisco to Manchester. The event was held at the residence of the HM Consul General Andrew Whittaker who made the announcement, followed by an evening of mingling with journalists.  British food and cocktails kept flowing through the evening as we celebrated this momentous occasion for who doesn't want more non-stop flights from the … [Read more...]
