Rick’s Cafe, Negril – Jamaica – August 2010

August 1, 2010 by DaveLeave a Comment

Ricks Cafe Negil Jamaica is located in the popular tourism town of Negril. In contrast to the smooth seven mile strip of the nearby "Seven Mile Beach", Rick's is perched on top of the West End Cliffs, a jagged set of rorck that affords one excellent views of the ocean. For this very reason this is "the place" to be for watching the sun go down. In addition, Ricks is also home to the cliff jumpers, a group of daring young men who jump from trees … [Read more...]

July 29, 2010 by Habeeb SalloumLeave a Comment

I was glad the bus was air conditioned as our group of eight drove on that hot July day, through Quebec's Eastern Townships - a part of Quebec famous for its tourist appeal. I was happy and content. Inside it was cool and comfortable and outside it was a scenic world. The countryside was covered with flowers, greenery as well as cultivated fields. At times we drove through rolling hills; at other times through flat and fertile landscape. As … [Read more...]

Travel Life List

July 25, 2010 by Dave5 Comments

I was recently stuck in the Miami airport for 5 dreaded hours (not because of the particular airport, but because I hate long connection times) and I was talking to Maggie who runs Mighty Girl and maintains her own Life List. We were discussing top 10 life experience lists based on experts in their fields. My focus would be on travel of course; here is my top 10 list in no particular order. Perspective. This is a word that defines travel. … [Read more...]

Jamaica works her Magic!

July 22, 2010 by Dave1 Comment

Ingredients: Good People, Outdoor Adventure, Romance, Black Eyed Peas and a bit of Jamaican Rum (perhaps more than a bit)! We've heard that Jamaica has the most churches per capita and also the most Rum Bars - you can even find Rum bars at Churches - as well as on boats. This catamaran is no exception - they have a well-stocked mini bar. If there ever was an LA song, it is "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas, but we will always remember … [Read more...]
