Filled with a rich history and culture-driven community, Prescott has been one my favorite places to visit in the United … [Read more...]

Pilots, Amelia Rose Earhart & Patrick Carter

November 7, 2013 by Dave3 Comments

When we were initially made aware that Amelia Earhart was going to recreate "her" flight around the world in 2014, we thought we had scored the interview of the century. However, we quickly realized the modern day Amelia Earhart is named after the famous aviatrix. But the similarities do not end with a name - Amelia is also an accomplished pilot and is going to recreate and symbolically complete her namesake’s 1937 flight around the world. … [Read more...]

St. John’s Tomb: Travel Tales from Turkey

November 6, 2013 by Elizabeth1 Comment

Greetings from Cappadocia! We are rapidly adapting to the troglodyte lifestyle of the modern cave dweller! It almost appears that every family had its own church, sort of like a second living room to their cave dwelling. These early churches comfortably fit only about 10 people in … [Read more...]

LACOT Meetup, Luxe Hotel, Los Angeles

October 27, 2013 by Dave2 Comments

I made the mistake of trying to go south towards the Sawtelle district (craving Ramen) around 5pm on a weekday. Traffic is so intense in this part of town (combined with the major 405 construction project … [Read more...]
