March 23, 2016 by Melissa FLeave a Comment

We’ve all been there, and we’ve all begrudged the long hours spent waiting for our next flight in an in-between airport. Everett Potter is an accomplished journalist who has written for and currently writes for major publications. He also manages the well-regarded site, Everett Potter’s Travel Report. Besides his writing prowess he is an accomplished speaker. An Afternoon in Brooklyn’s Park Slope

January 13, 2016 by Brian Cicioni1 Comment

I recently spent a Sunday afternoon in Brooklyn’s Park Slope. There were a handful of places I wanted to visit to make the nearly 30 minute trip from Washington Square Park worthwhile. I played U2’s The Joshua Tree on my new iPhone 6S and boarded the D train to the Atlantic Av-Pacific St. From there, I intended to transfer to the 2-3 line, but there was a delay, so I boarded the Q train and took it one stop to 7 Av instead. This area was new … [Read more...]

Bugs for Breakfast? Will Bugs Ever Be a Sustainable Food Source in the United States?

November 29, 2015 by Dave3 Comments

I was recently in Fort Lauderdale and of all places in a very touristy part of town I stumbled into a bar with multiple screens playing American Football and was surprised to find Chapulines (certain type of grasshopper) on the menu among a variety of 'normal' American foods. I've been thinking about the general lack of demand for edible insects in this country and seeing this on the menu made me think even further. Of course I ordered the … [Read more...]

FlightHub’s Best Snowy Christmas Destinations

November 24, 2015 by Rob FLeave a Comment

While lots of people enjoy Christmas at home with family, some like to take the time to get away from the World and go on a relaxing Christmas vacation. While much of the World is shrouded in Winter and the unpredictable weather that accompanies it, many Winter destinations make great Christmas getaways. Likewise, you also have the choice to escape Winter by retreating closer to the equator and getting some sun during what is traditionally the … [Read more...]

Walking from Pennsylvania to New Jersey & Back

November 19, 2015 by Brian CicioniLeave a Comment

I recently spent my first full day in Easton, PA. Although, I’d driven through Easton hundreds of times over the past 19 years, I never spent a full day exploring on foot. Known to many as the birthplace of former boxing heavyweight champion, Larry Holmes and home of the Crayola Factory, Easton lies on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River. The Lehigh River meets the Delaware River just south of the Northampton Street Bridge, which connects … [Read more...]
