April 9, 2017 by Jakob Horvat2 Comments

What's the point in swinging over a million waves when one can so easily fly over the? Why taking a boat, that … [Read more...]

April 5, 2017 by Mark NLeave a Comment

For many, yoga is a daily practice. It is a ritual they undertake in a class as part of a group, alone in the privacy of their home or, if they are very lucky, outside communing with nature. Performing the Surya Namaskar on a hilltop in the Serengeti was an unexpected, but inspired move by Demi Piriya who is a yogini who grew up in Thailand, but currently resides in United States. This is the story of how Demi found spiritual inspiration on her … [Read more...]

Santa Catalina Island California – April 2017

April 1, 2017 by DaveLeave a Comment

About an hour boat ride (www.catalinaexpress.com) or a 15 minute helicopter ride from the nation's second largest metropolitan region lies the unpopulated Santa Catalina Island. Many people visit for a day but the island offers a plethora of activities to keep one occupied for much longer. Avalon is the largest town on the island with about 3,700 full time residents. In contrast, the second largest and only other town of any size is Two Harbors … [Read more...]

March 29, 2017 by Connor CLeave a Comment

While some people tend to be instantly drawn to cities and beaches when they think of Europe, there is in fact far more on offer on the continent that most of us realise. Sightseeing aside, it should not be forgotten that there are just as many remote and fascinating mountain ranges and hiking trails in Europe as there are in other parts of the world which tend to get more publicity on the subject. If you are looking to try your hand at hiking … [Read more...]

Cruising the Beagle Channel on the Paludine, Ushuaia Argentina

March 1, 2017 by Dave3 Comments

I wandered into one of the small tour operator huts down by the harbour in Ushuaia this afternoon to escape the rain and the cold. After inquiring about one of their tours I was soon booked for the next morning - a sailing trip through the Beagle Channel on the Paludine. Allowing only 8 people maximum on board, these sailing tours are intimate and a great way to see the wildlife. After an hour drive on both pavement and a graded dirt road we … [Read more...]
