Los Angeles, CA (October 20, 2009) – The Global Scavenger Hunt is EXACTLY what it says it is: A treasure hunt that takes you around the world! The one catch is, you have no idea where you are going until you get there! But when you are done, you will have circumnavigated the globe and done more than in a lifetime of vacations.

The media has compared The Global Scavenger Hunt to The Amazing Race. The big difference between The Global Scavenger Hunt and The Amazing Race is that ANYONE can participate, anyone that is who is a good traveler and wants the chance to prove it. The winners of this 6th annual event will take home The World’s Greatest Travelers trophy.

The Global Scavenger Hunt is the brainchild of William D. Chalmers who wanted to combine his love of travel with his sense of social responsibility. “Travel is supposed to be about bringing people together with our differences,” said Chalmers. “That’s why, if you take the plunge and join this travel adventure competition, not only will you see temples, markets, museums, and eat in places you would never have found on your own, but you may also spend an afternoon volunteering at a Tibetan refugee camp, or an orphanage in Cambodia.”

But don’t take our word for it. Here is what previous travelers have said:

“…Sheer genius. People often say that a trip was life changing–but The Global Scavenger Hunt really is. You will never see the world again the same way…an amazing itinerary.” (ZL – Houston)

“Buried in each scavenge is the potential for an incredible discovery and amazing experience…a surprise package for adventurous, curious world travelers.” (BS – Rhode Island)

“The logistics were flawless, destinations and accommodations excellent…I love the A Blind Date With the World concept…the mystery, suspense and surprise of it all still gets my heart racing even though we’re already finished! There is simply nothing like it.” (AS – Washington DC)

“Had we done this trip on our own, we know that we would not have seen a fraction of the things we saw, or done a number of the things we did” ‘Would you do it again?’ YES!” (KJ – British Columbia)

“The Amazing Race without being eliminated and less silly too!” (HZ – Belgium)

The $9,900 per person entry fee includes: all international airfare, first class hotels, about 40% of meals, along with special event gear! Single travelers are welcome to apply. Travelers can apply online at GlobalScavengerHunt.com or by calling GreatEscape Adventures at 1 (310) 281-7809.
