Plan a family holiday to Makadi Bay

January 30, 2013 by TonyLeave a Comment

makadi bayMakadi Bay is proving to be a very popular destination for a family holiday, with beautiful surroundings, luxury accommodation and excellent facilities providing much of the attraction. Makadi Bay is situated in a beautiful bay, surrounded by Egypt’s Red Sea and the mountains, and this location provides everything you could need for an exceptional family holiday. Finding the right accommodation for your family can often prove difficult, but the following options will be perfect for all families with the most diverse of interests.

The Makadi Palace Hotel

Overlooking the Red Sea, the Makadi Palace is a lavish and beautifully decorated hotel. The interiors are exceptional and you immediately feel you are staying in a luxury accommodation. They have plenty of activities and facilities to keep you occupied during the day and night, with various swimming pools and water-based fun providing a draw. There is a private beach nearby, providing a nice environment for some lazy afternoons in the sun.

There are separate areas for children including a playground, various movies to watch and a swimming pool, while the restaurants also cater to the youngsters with a children’s menu.

The Makadi Palace Family Star Hotel

In the same complex as the Makadi Palace, you can also find the Makadi Palace Family Star. This is a great option if you want the best family environment possible. Family suites are available, and you can get some time to relax while the kids are taking part in one of the various activities on offer. There are lots of sports events taking place including football, table tennis and beach volleyball, and you can also let your children spend some time in the Maxi Kinder Club which provides hours of entertainment.

Access to the facilities at the Makadi Palace also comes inclusive, providing you with a first class experience. There really is no time to get bored in this fantastic hotel complex.

Sunwing Waterworld Makadi Hotel

makadi-bayIf you are looking for an action-packed family holiday, the Sunwing Waterworld Makadi Hotel could be the perfect choice. The hotel is located by the beach and the suites are spacious and impressive, but the big attraction is the waterpark. It features slides, flumes and pools ranging from the mild to the more extreme and adventurous, and can keep a family entertained for hours.

The waterpark might be the biggest draw, but this hotel has numerous other distractions including supervised entertainment for the kids and plenty of bar and restaurant options.

Fort Arabesque Resort

If you want something a little bit different, the Fort Arabesque has been decorated in the style of a medieval castle. The facilities are similar to some of the previously mentioned hotels, but the characteristic décor will help to offer a unique experience. There are plenty of sports and swimming options, bars and restaurants, quality rooms and a kids’ club for ages 4 to 10.

These are a few of the accommodation choices I have visited myself and should prove to be great choices if you are looking to take your family to Egypt. Makadi Bay is a fantastic place for a holiday and it continues to draw me and my family back year after year. The impressive location means you never have to travel far for an excellent time, and the weather is a welcome change.
