New York – December 8, 2012 – National Geographic Traveler named the city of Quito one of the top destinations to visit in 2013 in its current issue. The itinerary includes visits to the Cotopaxi National Park, Chimborazo Volcano, Nariz del Diablo, Cloud forest, colonial churches along with traditional lodging and authentic Ecuadorian cuisine options.
Every Saturday, Quito’s Patrimonial Nights offer a variety of cultural and entertainment activities in the biggest and best conserved Historical downtown area in the Americas. There are puppet shows, theater productions, art exhibitions, and concerts scheduled.
A gateway to Ecuador’s four diverse regions –Amazon, Andes, Pacific Coast and Galapagos Islands – Quito’s additional new projects include a new airport, improvement to the city’s connectivity, new subway system, and new convention centers.
