CODY, Wyo. – True Ranch Collection is taking over management of the historic Blackwater Creek Ranch outside Cody, Wyoming, for the summer season and will bring its Yellowstone Pop-Up Ranch to the “Cowboy State” from May 26 to Sept. 28, 2024. Set along the banks of the scenic Shoshone River and Blackwater Creek, the ranch is just 15 miles from the East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. All-inclusive three- and six-night stays are available, starting at $1,500 per person based on double occupancy and $2,700 per person based on double occupancy respectively.
With the addition of the Yellowstone Pop-Up Ranch at Blackwater Creek Ranch, True Ranch Collection now offers authentic western experiences at historic dude ranches in three states, Arizona, Montana and Wyoming.
“Blackwater Creek is a natural fit for the True Ranch Collection,” said Jaye Wells, managing partner of True Ranch Collection. “There is no more iconic location than between Yellowstone and Cody, Wyoming, and we’re excited to have the opportunity to host our guests at this historic ranch.”
All-inclusive stays at the Yellowstone Pop-Up Ranch at Blackwater Creek Ranch are available for three nights from Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday, and six nights from Sunday to Saturday. Stays include accommodations, meals, ranch activities and amenities, off-ranch excursions, entertainment and special events.
Since 1915, Blackwater Creek Ranch has hosted guests from around the world amid the mountains of the Shoshone National Forest, where Blackwater Creek flows into the Shoshone River. Theodore Roosevelt once described the area as “the most scenic 50 miles in the U.S.”
Nestled in a grove of tall trees, the ranch’s expansive, rustic lodge and log cabins will accommodate up to 35 guests at a time. The lodge and cabins will be furnished with beautiful western appointments, Navajo rugs and cozy bedding.
Activities at the ranch will include classic dude ranch adventures like horseback riding and hiking in the Wyoming wilderness, archery and sport shooting, fly fishing the creek and river, and whitewater rafting, as well as visits to the cowboy town of Cody and the Cody Nite Rodeo, opportunities to explore Yellowstone, and evening entertainment and special events.
Guests will also enjoy meals of locally inspired dishes and traditional ranch recipes, from cocktails and dinners in the lodge, to cook-outs and campfires, and sack lunches on the trail.
Proceeds from stays at the Blackwater Creek Ranch will benefit the historic O.T.O. Dude Ranch near the North Entrance of the park in Montana, where True Ranch Collection held its Yellowstone Pop-Up Ranch in 2022 and 2023.
