The Future of Air Travel and Airports Explored

August 4, 2017 by Nancy HallLeave a Comment

A Glimpse at the Future of Air Travel One thing we can all agree on is that we love journeying to locations around the world. However, as destinations get more far-flung and require air travel, getting there can start to feel arduous. No one loves airports or flying, and unless you are in Business Class, getting from A-B can be a slog. The realities of modern air travel are fortunately shifting rapidly and technological innovations are … [Read more...]

The Last Flight by Cydney Marshall

July 1, 2017 by DaveLeave a Comment

Flight attendant and author Cydney Marshall has written a gripping tale of a commercial airline that vanishes with all persons on board unaccounted for. Unlike the infinitesimal percentages of this happening in real life when you fly, this is a fictionalized account although it certainly pulls details from real life incidents over the years. Author Marshall cleverly creates a name for a generic airline, calling it AmerAsia; the whereabouts of … [Read more...]

June 10, 2017 by Preethi Chandrasekhar3 Comments

I recently attended the launch of Norwegian Air's nonstop flight from Oakland to Copenhagen, Denmark at a chef's tasting prepared by Andreas Bagh, Executive Chef at Copenhagen's Michelin starred Marchal restaurant at the Hotel d'Angleterre.  The event was hosted at the Cookhouse in North Beach, a lovely, intimate venue in a space next to the legendary Vesuvio Cafe in San Francisco. The evening was well attended by local journalists and … [Read more...]

The charming capital city of Valletta is Europe's smallest and with 450,000 people living on the islands Malta is one of the world's densest populated countries. Valletta … [Read more...]

Non Stop, Vienna to LAX ‘Sound of Austria’ Austrian Air Launch Party

April 25, 2017 by Dave6 Comments

I recently attended a memorable party for the launch of Austrian Airline's new first ever route from Vienna to Los Angeles offering daily (except Sundays). This party was held at a Bel Air mansion tucked away in one of the highest canyons - located at the end of a cul de sac. Cars snaked down the road - we used uber and walked the last 1/3 of a mile. A red carpet entrance greeted us with Austrian Airline flight attendents wearing a color … [Read more...]

The Doll Lady of Wisconsin

November 18, 2016 by Sharon Nadja Zajdman3 Comments

On the first anniversary of my mother’s passing, a letter was forwarded to me from the Holocaust Center. My mother had been prominent in Holocaust Education. A woman in Wisconsin was writing a book and looking for my mother to provide her with background information.   The Center didn’t know what to do with the letter, so they forwarded it to me. Enclosed were photographs of my mother, taken in her home. I called the woman in Wisconsin … [Read more...]

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines – Experience the Pop Up!

October 23, 2016 by Preethi Chandrasekhar2 Comments

I'm your typical eggs and bacon breakfast gal, maybe even a slice of toast and butter if I'm feeling adventurous! Recently I had a fantastic opportunity to visit the KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Pop Up in Union Square, San Francisco at 9:00am in the morning and got to partake in the traditional Dutch Stroopwafels for breakfast! These are lovely chewy caramel cookies and are delicious with a morning coffee or heck just as a tasty snack anytime!  A … [Read more...]
