June 10, 2017 by Preethi Chandrasekhar3 Comments

I recently attended the launch of Norwegian Air's nonstop flight from Oakland to Copenhagen, Denmark at a chef's tasting prepared by Andreas Bagh, Executive Chef at Copenhagen's Michelin starred Marchal restaurant at the Hotel d'Angleterre.  The event was hosted at the Cookhouse in North Beach, a lovely, intimate venue in a space next to the legendary Vesuvio Cafe in San Francisco. Non Stop, Vienna to LAX ‘Sound of Austria’ Austrian Air Launch Party

April 25, 2017 by Dave6 Comments

I recently attended a memorable party for the launch of Austrian Airline's new first ever route from Vienna to Los Angeles offering daily (except Sundays). This party was held at a Bel Air mansion tucked away in one of the highest canyons - located at the end of a cul de sac. Cars snaked down the road - we used uber and walked the last 1/3 of a mile. A red carpet entrance greeted us with Austrian Airline flight attendents wearing a color … [Read more...]

Jet Skiing the Chao Praya River, Bangkok

April 10, 2017 by Dave12 Comments

While on a boat cruise on the Chao Praya River recently I thought to myself "wouldn't it be cool to jump on a jet ski and zip past all these temples, river boat barges, long tail boats, ferry boats, river cruise boats and anything else that commonly floats past the banks of Bankok". A search yielded no results other then one - a tour offered by a local named Many who mentioned a stop at a jet ski center, marina and restaurant. She offered a … [Read more...]

48 hours in Los Angeles – Fast, Furious and Fun!

April 3, 2017 by Charlene Scott6 Comments

When you think of Los Angeles, the first thing you think of is Hollywood. But there are many other things to do there that are not related to tinsel town. Recently, I spent a whirlwind weekend in Los Angeles. I hurried off my delayed Southwest flight, found the shuttle bus to the Westin Hotel at Los Angeles Airport. Fifteen minutes later, a quick ride by LA standards, I flew into the hotel room where my friend had already arrived. A quick change … [Read more...]
