“China Telecom’s rapid and widespread deployment of Wi-Fi is nothing
short of impressive,” said Dave Hagan, president and CEO for Boingo
Wireless. “What’s more, their network comprises venue types -- airports,
hotels, restaurants -- that our usage data show as most popular among
Boingo users in Asia Pacific.”
“We’re committed to blanketing China with Wi-Fi,” said Mr. Kou Fenda,
Managing Director of Global Business Development for China Telecom.
“We’ve installed best-in-class communications equipment, and we continue
to pursue a network expansion strategy that will overall enable
Boingo customers a quality online experience at just
about every commercial hotspot in China.”
“The timing is perfect for the addition of China Telecom’s network to
the Boingo footprint,” said Allen Pan, director of Asia Pacific. “Our
users are really ramping up their activity in the region, and being able
to expand the network to meet that demand is exciting.”
