Qantas Launches new deals for New Zealand: Airfare sale, Inclusive Air-Hotel Package

Wellington NEW YORK, NY – 7 April 2010: Qantas Airways, has partnered with Down Under Answers and Tourism New Zealand to promote a special sale providing New Zealand-bound travelers easy and affordable access to Auckland and Queenstown with reduced airfares and premium vacation packages.

These limited-time offers allow exceptional value for travelers looking to explore the beauty of New Zealand, along with world-class lakes, beaches and natural wonders. From food and wine lovers to culture-seekers to extreme-adventure enthusiasts, New Zealand truly offers something for every traveler.

Round-trip economy fares from Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO) to Auckland (AKL) start at just $798* per person, applicable to tickets booked before April 14, 2010, and valid for air-only departure dates of May 1 – June 3, 2010 or August 2-31, 2010. Additionally, travelers can book round-trip airfare from Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO) to Auckland (AKL) plus a two-island, eight-night hotel package to experience Auckland and Queenstown from $1199**. This exclusive offer from Down Under Answers provides four nights in Auckland and four nights in Queenstown, along with airfare, and applies to tickets booked before April 14, 2010, valid for departure dates of May 1 through June 8, 2010. Qantas offers 6 weekly non-stop flights from Los Angeles to Auckland with a direct service connection in Los Angeles from New York (JFK); service from San Francisco is also via Los Angeles with Qantas codeshare flights operated by American Airlines. Features for Qantas trans-Pacific International Economy passengers, departing on U.S. mainland flights, include complimentary: award-winning Qantas service; enhanced food and bar service including a choice of menu selections, blankets and pillows, up to 400 video-on-demand program options with a personal, in-seat interactive video screen; and a carefully-considered amenity pack, featuring a selection of comforts to enhance the flight experience.

*Fare sale available on Qantas-operated and/or Qantas/American Airlines codeshare flights. Taxes/fees/September 11th Security Fee of approximately $98 are additional. Seats are limited; restrictions apply, subject to availability. Qantas Airways and Down Under Answers are separate and unrelated companies.
