Branson has lots of theaters offering live shows with entertainment choices from Broadway songs to country music, Rock ‘n’ Roll, to magic and comedy! A trip to Branson is not complete without experiencing Silver Dollar City, an 1880-style award-winning theme park where you’ll find authentic Ozarks history along with crafts, eateries, six festivals and a brand-new thrilling ride. Visitors can enjoy three Ozark mountain lakes, perfect for fishing and boating, as well as golf, hiking and horseback riding. Branson has a Tanger Outlets Center, an array of specialty stores, boutiques and galleries at Branson Landing and a Historic Downtown filled with quaint shops. There is always something new in Branson and here are some for 2018:

Silver Dollar City announces the World’s Fastest, Steepest and Tallest Complete-Circuit Spinning Roller Coaster with the spring 2018 debut of Time Traveler. Following months of speculation and extreme interest radiating within the amusement industry and from coaster enthusiasts around the globe, the internationally-awarded 1880s-style theme park will make history with this custom-designed, custom-engineered attraction that introduces a new generation of thrill coasters for families to enjoy.

SAMSON. He’s the original superhero; able to defeat entire armies and slay lions in a single Bible story. But his superpower comes with a catch: he must follow the rules. And that’s where the trouble begins. As Samson resists the Philistines—and his own personal calling—he soon falls prey to temptation, losing his strength and sight. But has he lost hope? Experience this biblical drama in jaw-dropping scale as it comes to life through a world-class cast, spectacular special effects and live animals—on stage and in the aisles. Experience an unforgettable, uplifting thrill that literally brings down the house at Sight & Sound Theatre.

Showboat Branson Belle, America’s Most Entertaining Dinner Cruise and Lunch Adventure, features 3-course meals and amazing live shows on pristine Table Rock Lake. A unique experience like no other offered in the region, as you cruise aboard an authentic paddle wheeler. The 700-seat vessel has multi-level viewing decks for Ozark Mountain sightseeing. Plus, inside, is a showroom and dining room that spans three stories. The ship’s crew delivers on the promise of “most entertaining” with a new-for-2018 variety show of singing and dancing performers plus a live band. Music genres include classic favorites from Broadway to rock and today’s country, plus award-winning comedy. Enjoy a meal, cruise and show – all in one picturesque experience.

Branson Jet Boat Making a Splash – A whole new lake tour has arrived in the Ozarks. Branson Jet Boats is the first of its kind in the area. The tour combines an ideal location with area history, local stories and natural beauty, along with a specially designed boat capable of thrilling maneuvers that makes for one unbelievable adventure.

The Branson Coaster, a unique double Alpine ride, begins with a 1000-ft descent immediately after departing the loading dock. The tracks twist and turn so close you’ll think you are going to collide. As you reach the bottom of the track, a chain driven system will catch your cart and begin to bring you back up. You will pause for a brief second before you cross over the first track and begin your free fall. Don’t forget to smile as you glide past the camera!

Branson’s Mountain Adventure Park is home of the Runaway coaster. A unique family friendly thrill ride takes you over 5,000 feet of track as gravity pulls you down hills, around corners and through two 360° horizontal loops as you race to the bottom at speeds up to 30 mph. Riders can choose to go at full speed for maximum thrills or use a personal braking system to travel at a more moderate pace and enjoy the natural beauty and spectacular views as they descend the mountain. The Runaway is the first of many planned outdoor adventures at the park.

The Branson/Lakes Area is the fastest-growing golf destination in America, likely the world. Three courses have opened in the past four years, and another three debuts in the next three years. And they’re not just any courses. They’re mind-blowers, with recently opened courses designed by Nicklaus, Fazio and Player. A Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw layout is under construction and will open in 2018, with two more by Tiger Woods announced. There are eight courses in the Branson area. A prime example of the new direction golf is taking here in the Ozarks is the Top of the Rock course, part of Big Cedar Lodge Resort. It is a Jack Nicklaus designed, 9-hole, par 3 golf course, and is one of only eleven courses in the nation to be recognized by the Audubon Signature Cooperative Sanctuary Program. Buffalo Ridge Springs and Top of the Rock are played annually as part of the PGA Tour Champions Legends of Golf each spring. The newly planned courses join an existing collection of good to great. Golf first came to Branson at Holiday Hills, built in 1938 by a well- known Chicago golf pro, Don Gardner. Many locals enjoy delightful Thousand Hills, a Bob Cupp design that belies the first impression its par-64 routing invokes. Sinewy, impressive Branson Hills Golf Club, where the state amateur championship was held, is a hearty, gorgeous golf test. Don’t omit playing LedgeStone Country Club or Pointe Royale Golf Village when in the area. Both public access, the former is a rollicking routing over hill and dale, where hole names fittingly advise golfers of what’s to come – The Slot, Temptation, Deception and The Plunge, to name a few.

Fun Mountain at Big Cedar Lodge offers a 4,000-square-foot arcade with 60 of the most exciting games anywhere and featuring a few classic favorites. An augmented climbing wall combines projected graphics and body tracking to create interactive games and to excite any climbing skill level; You can also bowl in the ocean – sixteen full lanes offer a unique underwater experience surrounded by sea turtles, sharks, stingrays, and other saltwater species. Hand painted murals and fish suspended in the air – you have to see it to believe it; Or turn your world upside-down on radically different bumper cars that rotate 360 degrees. Each time a car is hit, the car does a series of surprising moves that makes the game even more exciting; Wilderness lovers are transported to Fort Big Cedar, with up to 24 players at a time, for the ultimate laser tag experience. Be on the lookout for wild animals like mountain lions, bears, and wolves that come alive to attack you while you are tagging your family and friends.

National touring acts scheduled to appear: The Oak Ridge Boys, Neal McCoy, Dailey & Vincent, Home Free, Dennis Quaid and The Sharks, Trace Adkins, Billy “Crash” Craddock, Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone, Charley Pride, Marty Haggard and Georgette Jones, Janie Fricke, Jeannie Seely and Moore & Moore, Moe Bandy, Lee Greenwood, Vicki Lawrence & Mama and many more will play in Branson this year.

The largest synthetic snow tubing hill in the US is at the Branson Zipline at Wolfe Mountain. This unique year-round attraction uses the high-performance snow sports surface Snowflex®. Phase one of Snowflex® tubing will allow up to eight tubes to run down the slope simultaneously. The run is designed to give maximum thrills to all ages, in the beautiful setting of the Ozark Mountains. Traditionally a winter activity, the Snowflex® tubing hill will also be available throughout the spring, summer and fall.

Billy Yates’ IN THE ROUND brings the performing songwriter experience to the stage as this award-winning, Grammy-nominated singer hosts two hit writer/artists from Nashville at the Americana Theatre. You’ll feel the raw emotions, laugh, and possibly cry, as these performers share their heart and soul in this experience “like no other” in Branson.

The St. James Branson winery is now opened. Italian immigrants settled in the St. James area of Missouri in the late 1800s. The railroad carried them to new and inexpensive land where the immigrants built a life and eventually began to use their agricultural knowledge to grow high-quality Concord grapes. Initially, these grapes were used for juice and jelly. Here, you’ll find live music, a gourmet restaurant, award-winning wines, juices, specialty foods and gifts. Enjoy a complimentary tasting before purchasing your wine, cider, or beer to take home.
