Cold Spring Tavern Santa Barbara – If you are ever near Santa Barbara, CA be sure to drive the old stagecoach road into town. This narrow windy road crosses the 154 (Cachuma Pass) in two locations, one near the summit and one lower down the hill north of the summit. The tavern is located about 20 minutes north of Santa Barbara. This road winds its way through a brushy canyon under the large green bridge that was built for Highway 154 to cross over the actual canyon.

As you slowly drive this road, you will reach Cold Spring Tavern located at 5995 Stagecoach Road. This quaint, historical, tiny and romantic restaurant serves excellent food in a rustic setting located under oak trees in a shady part of the canyon. This is a very popular stop with motorbikes, especially on the weekends when sometimes they have live music. Parking is somewhat limited – to a small dirt lot near the tavern or in several pull out spots along the road.
