Seattle In Less Than 48 Hours!

August 13, 2017 by Leanne Parsons1 Comment

Kerry Park View Seattle Skyline

Seattle had been on my list of places to visit since I moved to Vancouver. Turning 30 (excuse me while I just cry inside a little bit) seemed a good reason to make it happen. The plan was to use the Quick Shuttle bus, leaving from Vancouver at 5.30am and get to Seattle by 8:50am. Leaving so early though meant that we didn't come across any traffic, and no waiting at the border. We arrived in Seattle 20 minutes earlier than scheduled, … [Read more...]

Corpus Christi is Really Unique!

Baby Sea Turtle - Corpus Christi, Texas

All I knew about Corpus Christi, Texas, before I visited my step-daughter, Michelle, and her family there this summer was that it was a seaside vacation town on the Gulf of Mexico. Corpus Christi certainly deserves its reputation as a fun and entertaining place to vacation. And, despite its size … [Read more...]

Bastakiya Quarter

DUBAI proudly stands among the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It’s no less than a splendid tourist destination for travellers around the globe. The city is a pleasure for eyes because of its crazy, humongous and architectural skyscrapers. Unlike in other countries, the whole city is man-made, beautifully crafted to catch the eyes of many tourist lovers. As the world is aware, Dubai has won the bid to host World EXPO 2020 and … [Read more...]

5 Unexpected Discoveries in Torrance

December 15, 2015 by Katie Weber5 Comments

I’ll admit I was a little skeptical when I was initially invited to join the Taste of Torrance tour hosted by Discover Torrance, a non-profit organization funded by local hotels to help promote the city, but there can be no great discovery or adventure without an open mind, so off I went. I was fortunate to be staying at the Doubletree Torrance, whose General Manager had not only been there for the past 19 years, but was also the head of the … [Read more...]

Did you know Germany has over 400 zoos? 414 zoos to be exact. That's more zoos than the entire United States! Here's a sneak peak into the oldest and largest zoo in all of Germany, the Berlin Zoolischer Garten. You might also like to know that it's not only the largest zoo in all of Germany, but the largest collection of zoo animals in the entire world.
