Liguria Bakery, San Francisco – November 2004

Liguria Bakery San Francisco - This San Francisco based Italian Bakery has been in business since the early 1900's and they are located at 1700 Stockton Street on the corner of Filbert Street. They serve excellent Italian bread called Foccacia; its not dry or crumbling rather its slightly oily and served fresh. Harvest Time, Brentwood CA – June 2004

Some of the best U-pick fruit farms in California are located in Brentwood - east of San Francisco by approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours. This area is known for its U-pick due to the variety of fruits and the number of orchards offering this service. Brentwood Cherries are available from approximately mid/end of May to mid June. Arequipa, Peru – Restaurants

We have eaten at many restaurants in Arequipa and never had a problem with the food in regards to food sickness. With that said, be sure the food is well cooked and avoid unwashed fruit or uncooked vegetables, such as lettuce. In basic restaurants we refrained from ordering fresh salads even though we were very tempted. We never had a problem eating fresh fruit and vegetables in the higher end restaurants. Fat City, Sacramento CA – July 2003

Fat City Bar & Café was located right in the heart of Old Sacramento (Old Town is worth visiting in its own right). This was a historic restaurant favorite with locals and tourists alike. It was housed in a building that was originally constructed in 1849, the heart of California's gold rush. A "little piece" of Africa is available to the general public in Sonoma County, about 1 hour 20 minutes north of San Francisco. Safari West is a gem of a nature preserve located only about 20 minutes from Santa Rosa off of Mark West Springs Road at the corner of Franz Valley Road (3115 Porter Creek Road).
