Luxury-Travel Auction Is Icing on the Cake

LOS ANGELES, CA - Sept. 22, 2010 – The countdown is on
to the epicurean event of the season, the 28th annual
American Wine & Food Festival, benefiting Los Angeles

On Saturday, Sept. 25, the nation’s top chefs will treat
L.A.-area food and wine enthusiasts to a grand feast
prepared for them under the stars from 6 – 11 p.m. on
the famed Universal Studios’ backlot. Exquisite culinary
creations, luxury libations, live music and dancing
await, in addition to a silent auction benefiting L.A.
Meals on Wheel. Winning bids in the height-of-luxury
travel auction will afford fantastic voyages, from Napa
Valley and Maui to Paris, Greece and Cambodia/Vietnam.
The American Wine & Food Festival weekend culminates
with the ultra-exclusive, 11th Annual Chefs Grand
Tasting Dinner at Spago Beverly Hills, on Sunday, Sept.
26. Hosted by Chefs Wolfgang Puck, Lee Hefter and Sherry
Yard, and Barbara Lazaroff, the event includes an
elegant, six-course repast designed by six
participating, internationally-renowned chefs. For

Charitable Foundation has supported the American Wine &
Food Festival, raising more than $15 million for the Los
Angeles Chapters of Meals on Wheels. This organization
