This July 4 celebrate
Turtle Independence Day at Mauna Lani Bay
Hotel & Bungalows. For 22 years, the luxury Kohala
Coast resort has been operating its Hawaiian green sea
turtle (honu) program that educates guests
about this threatened species. Three-month-old honu
are raised in the resort's saltwater ponds until they
grow to a size and weight appropriate for release into
