Buena Park, California is known for its world-class attractions and year round warm weather but what is often overlooked is the destinations ever changing events that make it a unique experience with every visit.

Winter
While Santa is checking his list twice, elves transform Knott’s Berry Farm into Merry Farm from the end of November through December. The holiday makeover includes a 60-foot Christmas tree lighting, festive decorations and the ice show spectacular, Merry Christmas Snoopy! In the spirit of giving, Knott’s Berry Farm welcomes all retired and present military, fire and police personnel with free admission. Not everyone on Santa’s list is good, Pirates have captured Captain Kringle and he needs help to save Christmas at Pirate’s Dinner Adventure holiday show (offered during the month of December). For the month of January, Kids takeover the city of Buena Park and offer the best deals of the year on attractions, dining and hotel accommodations. For a limited time, parents will enjoy savings on comfortable kid-friendly hotel accommodations and kids can enjoy their favorite Orange County attractions.

Spring
The delicious 16-day Boysenberry Festival at Knott’s Berry Farm offers guests special live entertainment while indulging in Boysenberry flavored BBQ, Boysenberry desserts and specialty beverages. Become an archeologist with Family Fossil Days at the Los Coyotes Paleontology Center. The quarterly event features a tour of the interpretive center, interactive exhibits on Orange County’s prehistoric past and the excavation of a real dig site.

Summer
Starting in June, guests can catch free live performances at Boisseranc Park featuring some of Orange County’s most popular musical acts. In July and August, Buena Park Downtown Mall offers free concerts from cover bands including Elvis, Johnny Cash and The Beatles on select Wednesday nights. The party continues Fourth of July weekend at Knott’s with exclusive food, special performances and a fireworks spectacular. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, cool off at Knott’s Soak City water park featuring dozens of slides, wave pool, lazy river and kid’s area.

Fall
The crypts open and over 1,000 monsters appear at the largest and longest running Halloween experience in the world, Knott’s Scary Farm. During the day, the fog lifts on the theme park and invites kids to dress up, take their picture with the Peanuts characters and trick-or-treat in kid-friendly mazes. Help save the day from evil vampires during Pirate’s Dinner Adventure special October Halloween show, Vampirate’s. Celebrate Silverado Days at Boisseranc Park, an annual festival held during the second weekend of October that features carnival rides, contests, games and food booths.
