dubrovnik (1)Music legend José Feliciano announced as the main headliner for the 4th Dubrovnik International Wine and Jazz Festival taking place September 25-28 in Dubrovnik, Croatia

New York, NY, August 7, 2014 – Dubrovnik, the famous Croatian seaside town and UNESCO site, will be welcoming all music and wine aficionados to the 4th Dubrovnik International Wine & Jazz Festival. It was just announced that the international music legend José Feliciano, acclaimed by music critics as “the greatest living guitarist”, will be the main headliner for the festival, playing two concerts in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

The festival will take place from September 25-28, 2014, with concerts held around the historic Old Town Dubrovnik localities such as the Rector’s Palace, in front of the Dubrovnik Cathedral and more. José Feliciano, the international music legend, guitar player and singer, many-times Grammy laureate will be playing at two concerts during the festival; a VIP exclusive “JAZZ IT UP with José Feliciano!” concert scheduled on September 26 at the Dubrovnik Sun Gardens hotel while the second concert, under the hospices of the City of Dubrovnik, will be held in front of the cathedral accompanied by the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra and conducted by maestro Michael Kissinger on September 27.

dubrovnik (2)Dubrovnik International Wine & Jazz Festival will also be featuring local wines by Vina Vukas, Vinarija Miljas, Korta Katarina, Crvic Vineyards and Mokalo-Bura Vineyards which festival goers will be able to taste for two hours before the concerts and at intermissions at Rector’s Palace which will also display art from local artists. The south Croatian wines from the nearby Peljesac peninsula are regarded as some of best Croatian reds, featuring the famous Plavac Mali variety.

This exciting event affirms the attractiveness of Croatia for an autumn vacation, adding to the destination’s already established cultural vacation appeal. While the Croatian wines are still mostly undiscovered outside of Europe, mostly because of smaller quantities produced, this would be a perfect opportunity for wine lovers to get acquainted with south Croatian wines while enjoying superb musical concerts in a historic location.
